about

I am very happy to introduce our new CD, Makomborero, which means “blessings.”
I want to say what a joy it is to watch and listen to the seven upcoming musicians from the Chingodza Family scrambling and working so hard to get where they are today, barely knowing that this is just the beginning of the their endless journey! Also, I am so grateful to have them in my musical journey now, sharing their ideas. This is the blessing, Makomborero in the Shona language, which is the title of this album.
Here in Zimbabwe, most people survive by buying and selling. These young people also need help to raise money to start their small businesses, and they have music in their hands and voices! I think that my friends and families around the world are going to enjoy what they bring to their community both regional and international, and help them to get a start. We love and respect you all!!
Here are the names of the contributors to this album, Makomborero:
1.Chrispen Chingodza is my young brother (26yrs)
2. Esnath (Tammie) Chingodza (26yrs) is my daughter, who graduated from Midlands State University in 2019 and is now working with Linos Moyo Mutamba at Ubuntu Learning Village in Gutu, Zimbabwe.
3. George Chingodza (17yrs) is my youngest brother.
4.Tinashe Chingodza (24yrs) is my son.
5. Tadiwanashe Chingodza (12yrs) is my son.
6.Tanyaradzwa Nhika (11yrs) is my son.
7.Tanatswanashe Chingodza (9yrs) is my youngest son.
